Sweet and vibrant watercolor folk portrait of a young girl carrying her doll. We love her tiny feet wearing red shoes. The sleeves of her white muslin dress are pulled up with blue ribbon that also serve as a sash. It is hard to tell, but we think her doll may be wearing white gloves with her green dress (with blue shoes peeking out). The colors are vibrant in the painting and even the period wood veneer frame. It’s a great package deal. Framed size is 6 ¾” x 5 ½”. Condition of painting is excellent but for very few small stains, frame has some expected scratching. Circa 1810.
