An interesting piece of early lighting, some might call it a Betty Lamp, because it does have a lid. But, I prefer to call it a standing pan lamp, or grease lamp. It is made of tin, with a crimped tin lid and a backplate with rollded tin edges, a stamped tin circular design which surrounds a stamped sheet brass medallion. It measures 5 3/4" tall x 4" from spout to back. Circa first half of the 19th century.
