These are two wonderful 17th century brass candlesticks that, though unmatched, display beautifully together. Both are Continental, either late 1500s or first half of 1600s with mid-drip pans, round & stepped bases and bulbous bodies. The taller is 9” tall and the shorter is 7 ½” tall. Both are in beautiful condition—please see all the pictures which will show any small issues that keep them from being perfect. It is hard to find these very early candlesticks at all and finding a pair is near impossible. But you have just found two that look stunning together. We will consider selling these separately but at a higher price.
Provenance: ex-Pete Chillingworth Collection.
