Stunning miniature blanket chest with multiple layered moldings on top and bottom edges, shaped shoe-feet and beautiful painted surface. The painted decoration is a wavy pattern in black over a dark red paint. Butt-edge construction with early square nails. The miniature chest even has an inside glove till. The top fits nicely over the chamfered top edge with appropriate wear to the paint. Great condition but for expected wear to paint at edges. 7 ¼” tall x 12 ¾” wide x 7” deep. Circa 1835.
