Pewter

Circa 1650 Pair of Pewter Bulbous-Based Candlesticks
  • Everyone always loves these hard to find 17th century bulbous-based pewter candlesticks from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain & Portugal)! They have a place in every collection of Americana, pewter and early lighting. They are in extremely good condition for being over 350 years old! Please look really closely at them, for they have some dings as dents as expected. There might be a well-done repair at the waist of one—please the last photo where we have pointed that area to your attention. The patina is a soft grey...just like you want them. The bases are hollow...as they should be. These are a hard-to-find larger size at 7 3/4" tall x 5" diameter of the base.
